The Book Chook has a huge amount of inner geek. Have you noticed? I get really excited when new technology comes along that I can see huge educational potential for. You might remember my rants about Google Wave, which I am now using with Australian authors Karen Collum and Kathryn Apel to share writing critiques, and about the Sixth Sense which I would love to test/review if anyone from MIT is reading.
Today I discovered Siftables. WOW!
They are: sets of cookie-sized computers with motion sensing, neighbor detection, graphical display, and wireless communication
To me, they look just like computerized building blocks, with a huge potential for education and okay, I admit it, such FUN!
Here's a video from TED that will explain them much better than I can.
