This month, the I Can Read Carnival is here at The Book Chook! Here's how it works. If you have written a book review about an easy reader/short chapter book, or have some tips on helping emergent readers become confident readers, please leave a comment here with a link to the url of your post. I'll add your link to my post here over the course of the week the Carnival is on. According to the guidelines at Scrub-a-Dub-Tub, your post doesn't even need to be current, and can go back to 2009. If you're not sure a book actually IS an easy reader or short chapter book, Terry has a comprehensive description at Scrub-a-Dub-Tub.

Hope I'm not too late! I've got a post on a new beginning chapter series - Anna Hibiscus by Atinuke. These are quite different from anything we normally see here in the US on the beginning chapter front and I'm eager to introduce them to my library!
