Looking Back to April, May, June 2017

by Susan Stephenson,

A regular feature on The Book Chook is where I look at popular posts from previous months and years. Today my focus will be on posts from January, February and March of 2017. Don't forget you can use the right sidebar to find earlier posts, too. Click Creating, Learning, Reviews, Reading, Writing and Celebrating to explore those themes, or try the Blog Archive to browse by months. The Free PDFs button takes you to my website where you can download any of the free educational PDFs I’ve created.

I hope you find something useful here, and if you do, thanks for sharing it with others.

The most popular posts in April 2017 were Ideas for Children’s Book Week 2017 and Activities for Kids - Children’s Book Week 2017. The theme that year was Escape to Everywhere and there are lots of escape-themed activities your kids might enjoy. (If you’re looking for Activities for Kids - Children’s Book Week 2018, go here.)

Find literature activities for The Cow Tripped Over the Moon. 🐮🌝

Do you love wordless picture books? Here’s a list of some of my favourites.

More great picture books! These have been grouped because their theme is one of change.

Looking for books for older readers, 7+? I have a list! 📜

Here are suggestions on web comics and graphic novels for kids.

Lots of 2017 picture books about animals.🐾

What’s so great about role play with kids? I’m glad you asked!

Sometimes, all we need is a picture book that will have the troops rolling on the floor, laughing. Here are plenty!
